Our pharmacy is staffed by
two pharmacists who are available, in house, seven days a week and are on
call 24-hours a day. Together, they provide us with 35 years of pharmacy
management and consulting experience. They work closely with out
physicians and nurses to limit possible drug interactions and decrease the
incidence of polypharmacy.
We have an in-house, state
of the art, pharmacy equipped with automated medication dispensing
machines. These units provide our nurses with 24-hour access to over 300
formulary medications, thereby allowing them to administer most newly
prescribed medications as quickly as needed without the presence of a
pharmacist.
Psychiatric evaluation,
medication management, psychotherapy and consultation is available through
and under the direction of our physicians as well as our consulting
advanced nurse practitioner/clinical nurse specialist who, with a Master's
degree in psychiatric nursing and a PhD in counseling, brings over
20-years experience in this field of practice.
